Cheap Hi-Viz Cycling Gloves at the Dollar Tree:
After visiting a number of Dollar Tree’s to clear them out of their small tealight holders, I found these obnoxiously bright gloves at the last store we visited. I knew then and there that I should buy them to wear around the city and out in the woods. And, since I have started bike commuting I am always looking for good deals that will increase my visibility.
The Fit:
The gloves are only sold in one size “Unisex One Size Fits Most“. I normally wear XL gloves so I was concern while in the store that they might fit. Lucky me, another person broke the plastic tab and tried them on, but left them for me to try on. So I slipped them on and they fit like a glove, literally. The fit is closer to a large, but they stretch a bit and I have to pull the fingers down to the top of my palms. I do like the fact that they are knitted, because they don’t have a seam that runs along the median nerve at the base of your thumb. Most non-cycling gloves are constructed that way, which can lead to discomfort on long rides.
The Price:
In store you can buy one pair for a dollar, no surprise there. Or, you can buy a case of 24 online for… take a guess.. 24 dollars, with free ship to store. I thinking about purchasing another pair and will cut the fingers off to wear during the spring/summer season. Link to the gloves.
