Ideas / Zero Progress

It is difficult to fully finish the ideas you come up with. Well… at least for me. I tend to get super focused on an idea or hobby, and go all in for a short burst of time. Then fall off for a few months and then revisit it some time later. I think this issue, if you want to call it an issue, comes down to the seasonality of life. There are life events that happen like births, holidays, celebrations and death. Then there is also seasonality within business like busy season. All of these events can take precedence and most certainly do during their specified time. These events will slow down progress if you allow them to take hold of your entire mental capacity. It requires focus and mental strength to follow your positive routines and habits during those times.

I have find myself slipping away from those positive items from time to time. This ultimately leads to zero progress on all the ideas I have. I need to establish better practices to help me stay focus during those times. Ways to work on my ideas when my mental capacity is low (filled with life distractions) and when there is a lack of time.

I have a list of ~10 web app “business” ideas that I routinely spend thought energy on, planning out how they function and researching how to build out each function. You can use “business” loosely because these are not all businesses, but ideas that solve some type of problem.

I enjoy thinking about them but always feel like I don’t have enough time to build them out. I think I need to narrow my focus down to 1 or 2 of them. Follow the positive routines and habits I want to practice so I can see these through to completion.

Improve Progress

Practice daily positive routines/habits

Accomplish something each day

Keep moving forward

These posts are merely a brain dump to help me capture current thoughts. I wish I could spend more time on them but I allocate about thirty minutes to type out my thoughts.
