Coupon Admin has been submitted for review. It longer than it should have to get it submitted. Is started the process yesterday and finished it this morning. Google is quite picky when it comes to the sizes of the required marquee and display images. I had to get the pixels exact to what they wanted. I am concerned with the broad URL case matches I built the extension for. Google warned me they do not like those broad permissions. I also had the permission to run the extension on any activeTab but ended up removing that from the extension. I forgot I had that permission and don’t need it. Fingers crossed.
I also worked on building out a custom product page for theBidon.com. It will contain products I like and recommend and host them like a store product page. Instead of allowing users to purchase them from me, the buy now button will use an affiliate link and send them to the actual store’s website. Like drop shipping, sort of. Again, I used Chat-GPT and got a working draft of what I envisioned. I’ll continue to build it out and hopefully will have 20+ plus products. Then hope to build in a filtering function using javascript so users can filter by product type (clothes, tech, nutrition). Ideally, it would work best it I hosted the product images and information in some sort of database and pulled them in using an API and JSON. I’ll need to look into that. It would make it easier to update the products systemically. Right now I will manage them from within the html and edit each product div. Linking the product image with the wordpress url, adding the product text/description and updating the links for the two buttons (Buy Now & Store).
