Map of Atlanta’s Public Drinking Water Fountains for Runners and Cyclists

With the upcoming summer heat and humidity, may this map of public drinking water fountains and restrooms provide an oasis in your time of need. I’ve been running and cycling in Atlanta over the last five years. Over this time, I have experienced great discomfort from dehydration and GI issues while out frolicking through the mean streets of Atlanta, far from home.

After these experiences I have sought out finding water fountains and restrooms that I can access on my runs or bike rides. Below is the current locations that I have found. I’ll continue to update the map as I discover or remember other locations. Feel free to drop a comment if you know of any public water fountains and restrooms that are bike and runner friendly.

Runner and Bike Friendly Water Fountains: they should be located outdoors so you can run or bike up to them.

Bike Friendly Restroom: it should be big enough to bring your bike into the restroom or stall, without the need to lock up your bike.

WeTap App

After writing this post I discovered a free IOS app that you can use to find drinking fountains and record unmapped fountains for other users. Checkout their website to learn more or download their app.
